Jeff Craig, who not too long ago retired from the Navy following serving as a captain, which includes a tour as next in command of the Roosevelt, worked thoroughly with Captain Crozier following attending the Naval Academy with him. Captain Crozier grew to become a helicopter pilot, Mr. Craig stated, earning a nickname that he retained even after he transitioned to flying jets and finally to commanding a carrier: Chopper.
