Karen Ruth Dubbin and Reed Alexander Goodwin were married March 14 at the Palms Resort & Spa in Miami Seashore. Eric Dubbin, a Universal Daily life minister and an uncle of the bride, officiated.
The bride, 30, is a biomaterials engineer at Lawrence Livermore Nationwide Laboratory in Livermore, Calif., the place she focuses on bioprinting for tissue engineering applications. She graduated from M.I.T., and she obtained a Ph.D. in material science and engineering from Stanford. She is the daughter of Susan H. Dubbin and David C. Dubbin of Boca Raton, Fla.
The groom, 35, is a workers scientist in the section of biology at Stanford. He graduated from Washington State College and obtained a Ph.D. in biology from the College of Connecticut. He is the son of Gail Goodwin in San Anselmo, Calif., and Stephen Goodwin of San Francisco.
The couple fulfilled on Craigslist in January 2017.
